after many many countless resumes sent out, i got this offer to work as a marketing assistant. so i replied via e-mail asking what does the job entails etc. and up till about 4pm there still wasn't a reply. so i took things into my own hands and called the company up. "hello. is ms tan ee lee there?", "yes, mr tan here.", "no, ms tan.", "no, i'm mr tan ee lee." gosh. i so blew it lor. haha.

anyway, i dived straight in and told him i can only work as a temp since i'll be going to uni [and also, marketing assistant didn't quite allure me]. so he said he could only offer me 5 an hour since i'm a temp. then i asked him whether are they any positions available. to which he replied "well, we can create one for you. we're in the process of finalising things now." then things got a bit too quiet, so i told him to give me a call once everything's confirmed. and i went to check out the company's website! like freak?! he's the company director lah! omg. i so screwed myself. i actually asked a company director to call me lor. hahaha. freak.

that aside, i'm enjoying my french classes. aside from the fact that my indian female classmate keeps eyeing me. haha. scaryness. anyway! last week we were told to do this exercise in pairs. so i paired up with this polish girl. had so much fun laughing with her when others were all serious. haha. so she was like "so u're name is hafiz right? arabic name right?". i agreed and she said she loved my name. haha. mon nouvelle amie polonaise aime beaucoup mon nom! haha.

and yeah, i collected my certificate last week too. which is totally in french. there's this part which says "mention tres bien", so i checked the dictionary for the meaning for "mention". and it actually means "grade", and they gave an example "mention bien" is actually good/B grade. that means "mention tres bien" is grade A! wheeeee! happiness. ;)

150306. after all these months of waiting and bitching about the army, i still can't make myself believe i've ord-ed! and pre-ord has been a hell of a bore. i wasted a day of leave last week and went back to camp to sign my clearance. felt good to be bitching with my colleagues after so long. haha.

was reading a colleague's blog. you guys heard about the cnb raiding some local gay drug ring. so they posed as gay customers and went to this party. in a room there was this guy dressed in blue sitting on the bed. so the cnb officer barged in and shouted "cnb!". the gay, being dumb and horny, thought it was some theme party! here's the version going on at the workplace, cracks me up totally! LOL. and i quote...
cnb: "cnb!"
blu: giggles*
cnb: handcuffed blu
blu: "omg! this is so real! you're like so hot!"
cnb: brings blu to van
blu: "are we gonna do it in the van? is it gonna be like bang bus?" giggles* "you're like so ... naughty!"
cnb: brings blu to cnb headquarters and locks him up in the cell
blu: " omg! you actually go to the extend of replicating a cell just to impress me? that is so like kinky! like totally!"

it's the silly lil things we do at work that i miss. we'll go on mimicking some africans, koreans and their hangboks, geishas and their kimonos. entertaining customers with (fake) ISO standards. oh. there was once we were entertaining this french fella. zamri upon finding out he's french called me and asked me to converse a thing or two in french with him! hurried for my book and told zamri what to say to him. in the end, we only managed a merci. i'm gonna miss them. haha.

went for angel's 21st party. we had fun [by ourselves], i miss my jc band! and it's perfectly understandable the birthday girl couldn't entertain us. and this year's a very bad year! everyone's turning 21 and almost everyone's having a bash. i'm still undecided for mine though. it's not easy having to entertain different groups of friends. evidently so from the parties i've been too. c'est evident!

turning 21 next month. still considering whether i should hold a party. hmm. and i'm still in the midst of compiling what i want for my birthday. makes things easier for my friends yeah? it'll be up soon! heh.
