hey man. its been long i knoe. heh. okie. i havent blogged in eons tt i dunno what to blog about now? haha. serious man. hmm. anyways, it was syf this week. took leave specially to see bb on monday. glad they didnt disappoint. their singapore rhapsody was nicely done! i kinda thot they'd fumble at this part cuz of the clarinets. haha. but surprise surprise. they got a silver anyway. i think its a high silver judging from the other silver bands. some of the girls were even crying lah. haha. was telling mel after syf tt bb dusnt look like a sch which has a gold band. haha. so yeah.
the band after bb was juying sec or smth. and they played inferno. they were just blasting lah. think what? they can anyhow blast just cuz its hellish and stuff lah. gosh. and the woodwinds were seriously crap! their running notes werent even together! tsk. and they still got a silver. vs was good. very loud but nice. very impressive. uber good woodwinds too. i kinda liked st gabs too. but oh well. twe's merry widow was nice. typical glosz sound lah.
alot of surprises too. shuqun got a silver. yuhua and tkgs only managed a gold when each had won the coveted best band for that particular syf before. oh well. swiss got gold with honours. i am so waiting for their recording. very very very technical piece. totally awayday'ish. hah. for now, i must think of ways to get tix to jc syf. hmm...
workwise, i told you about the 7 new RPs? giving us new RPs is good. but this time around all are malays! and by the time hari raya comes there'll only be one chinese left if they stop posting us chinese RPs. i think the camp will just close on hari raya. oh. i was on duty the other day and this other colleague whu was on duty obviously wanted to malinger. fuck sia. almost got into a fight. duh. its understood. knowing him. fucker.
have i told you pc [my platoon commander during bmt] is now in my camp? so i see him around. and sometimes when i do gate ic, he'll wind down his car window and talk to me. like ask me whether i've eaten and stuff. the last time he winded down his window he was asking me how long more to ord? how long have i been in the army and stuff. ahh. he's so bloody nice lah. i remember him shielding me when i crouched after throwing a grenade during bmt. a person of genuine niceness. oh. and i've got nice officer friends tho. was doing military desk the other day and this officer came and changed for his pass. first thing he said was "do i knoe u? u look familiar! -smile-" tt kinda thing? turns out he was in my detail during my sit(uational) test. and yesterday's duty officer was someone i prowled with when he was still a trainee. and he still remembers me. my point being, these officers are damn humble. like they got no i'm-an-officer-what-are-you face. contempt and all. sigh. people of genuine niceness. at least i knoe i'm reciprocate niceness with niceness. unlike

took my 4th advanced test on thursday. [dont laugh. grr] before i left camp my colleague was telling me booklet b's an easy booklet since he took it and passed. and i happened to get booklet b. haha. so yeah. but i made a stupid blunder. stupidddddddd. grr. one question down. four more allowed. only. oh. and before i took the test i saw this counter where u can like convert ur foreign driving license? i was thinking if i'm gonna fail again i shall just prolly take my license in uk. haha. and come back with a british accent too. awesome.
oh oh! i'm gonna take up french! so exciting. and i plan to go as far as advanced. haha. and my mom's paying a third of the fees! hehe. i'm really hoping the friend i'm going with can reschedule his tuition lessons so we can go for weekend lessons. lessons on weeknights can be mentally trying.
and today marks my 15th month in the army. damn fast lah. 11 more months! hehhhh.
